Public bug reported: austin 3.7.0-9 has been in stonking-proposed for ~148 days and has never built. It isn't in stonking release.
All builds are in dependency wait on python3 (<< 3.14~): austin 3.7 doesn't support CPython 3.14's internals, so the packaging refuses to build against it. It was already removed from resolute for the same reason (LP: #2143630); the -8/-9 Debian uploads came back into proposed afterwards. Debian: trixie has 3.7.0-4, unstable has 3.7.0-9 (binaries built before the 3.14-only switch), removed from testing. RC bug: #1140913 austin: no support for Python 3.14 Upstream (https://github.com/P403n1x87/austin) is active; austin 4.0.0 (2025-11) adds CPython 3.14 support but has breaking CLI/output changes. Packaging 4.x is too late for this cycle; to be revisited next cycle once Debian ships it. Nothing in stonking depends on it. Please remove austin from stonking- proposed. ** Affects: austin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Fix Released ** Tags: update-excuse ** Tags added: update-excuse ** Changed in: austin (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2170532 Title: Please remove austin from stonking-proposed: no Python 3.14 support (Debian #1140913) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/austin/+bug/2170532/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
