Public bug reported:

After updating from 7.0.0-34 to 7.0.0-38 I see graphical corruption on screen
(horizontal lines, random blocks). It is not periodic, rather random. It only
happens in areas that are changing:
moving windows, switching apps, scrolling or panning in Chrome (Google Maps in
streetview is the
most visible). Static content looks fine. Booting 7.0.0-34 fixes it.

On 7.0.0-38 KWin logs many errors like this:

kwin_wayland_drm: atomic commit failed: Device or resource busy

The kernel also logs:

workqueue: dm_handle_vmin_vmax_update [amdgpu] hogged CPU for
>10000us 5 times, consider switching to WQ_UNBOUND

The errors start already on the SDDM login screen.

Number of "atomic commit failed" errors per boot:

    7.0.0-30 0-3
    7.0.0-31 0-28 (usually 2-10)
    7.0.0-34 1-12 (last test: 1 error in 12 minutes)
    7.0.0-38 373, 309, 18 in 4.5 minutes, 13 in 1.5 minutes

There are no GPU resets, ring timeouts or page faults in dmesg. The problem is
not
only in Chrome. It also happens when moving windows in KWin.

Display Core version and DMUB firmware are the same on 7.0.0-34 and 7.0.0-38
(DC 3.2.369, DMUB 0x0A000800).

Workaround: boot 7.0.0-34.

System:
- Kubuntu 26.04.1, Plasma 6.6.6, KWin 6.6.6, Wayland
- AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (Navi 48, 1002:7550, ASUS 1043:061a), VBIOS
115-G295BP00-100
- DCN 4.0.1
- Mesa 26.0.8-1ubuntu0.3
- linux-firmware 20260319.git217ca6e4
- One monitor, Dell U3425WE, 3440x1440 120 Hz, DisplayPort, VRR off, ICC
profile on
- Kernel command line: quiet splash
