All these packages are based on the already existing, eponymous, 13-3
packages
I will now publish descriptions of the packaging changes for each
package. Per-package comments call out anything beyond the shared
boilerplate; packages without comments have no new/deleted upstream
files beyond the common rename (or only a same-soname `.so`/`.pc`
version bump).
## common changes in every package
* `debian/control`: `Source:`/`Package:`/`Vcs-Browser`/`Vcs-Git` and
`Depends` package names renamed `13-3`→`13-4` (pure version rename, including
`cuda-toolkit-13-3-config-common`→`cuda-toolkit-13-4-config-common`).
* Per-binary `.install`/`.links`/`.lintian-overrides` files renamed from the
`-13-3` suffix to the `-13-4` suffix (content unchanged unless noted below).
* `debian/cuda-version`: `13.3.1` → `13.4.2` (and gains a trailing newline it
was previously missing).
* `debian/README.source`: all `13-3`/`13.3` references renamed to
`13-4`/`13.4` (package names, redistrib JSON URL, tarball filenames).
* `debian/rules`: `get-orig-source` target now invokes
`/usr/libexec/ubuntu_cuda_get_orig_source $(GET_ORIG_SOURCE_ARGS)` (previously
called with no arguments).
* `debian/source/lintian-overrides`: package-name/version tokens renamed
`13-3`→`13-4` in override lines.
* Everything named `13-3`/`13.3` throughout is renamed to `13-4`/`13.4`.
## cuda-meta-13-4
* `cuda-libraries-dev-13-4` gained a new dependency: `cuda-opencl-dev-13-4
(>= ...) [amd64]`.
* `debian/scripts/replace-templates`: `nvidia_driver_version` lookup changed
from a hard assert to a soft `.get()` — no longer fails if driver info is
absent from the manifest.
* `debian/source/lintian-overrides`: removed override `source:
unpack-message-for-source *`.
* `debian/redistrib_13.4.2.json`: dropped `cuda_compat` and all driver-tied
components (`nvidia_driver`, `nvidia_fs`, `fabricmanager`, `imex`,
`libnvidia_nscq`, `libnvsdm`, `nvlsm`, `driver_assistant`) from the manifest
(consistent with the `replace-templates` change above); several component
descriptions reworded.
## cccl-13-4
* `Provides:` renamed (`cuda-cccl-13-4`, `cuda-cub-13-4`, `cuda-thrust-13-4`)
— rename only.
* copyright: removed the `Files:` stanza for `agent/agent_segmented_scan.cuh`
(file removed upstream); copyright-year typo for Eric Niebler re-mirrored
(`2013-3018`→`2013-4018`, still wrong).
* SOURCE: large churn (307 added / 23 removed) — new CUB block/warp
specializations, a whole new `cub/detail/warpspeed/` subtree, new dispatch
kernels/tuning headers; a large new `cuda/__*` header set (containers,
functional, mdspan, memory, PTX instructions); a very large new `cuda/std` tree
(`__functional`, `__host_stdlib`, `__iterator`, `__numeric`, a new `__pstl`
with CUDA backend, a brand-new `__simd` subsystem, and many new `algorithm.*.h`
files). Removed: `agent_segmented_scan.cuh`, `arch_dispatch.cuh`, the
`ptx-json/` subtree, the fixed-size segmented-reduce dispatch+tuning headers,
several `cuda/__fwd`/`__hierarchy` headers, `__exception/throw_error.h`,
`__new/bad_alloc.h`, `__pstl_algorithm`, `__random_`,
`thrust/detail/tuple_meta_transform.h`.
## nsight-compute-13-4
+ * Drops 3/4 vendored JS libs: jquery, underscore, html5shiv. Drops 2/3
embedded font families: Roboto, Lato.
* copyright: added `Files-Excluded-{amd64,arm64}: */__pycache__/*`; dropped
`Files:` stanzas for removed vendored JS libs (jquery/underscore),
`typing_extensions.py`, and the Roboto/Lato font families; fontawesome vendor
path relocated.
* lintian-overrides: dropped embedded-JS-library overrides for
jquery/underscore/html5shiv and old font overrides; added overrides for the new
fontawesome/pip-26.0.1/Nsight-Copilot paths.
* `debian/overridden_files/ncu` and `ncu-ui`: rewritten to detect/select the
right binary across multiple `target`/`host linux-*` architectures
(x86_64/ppc64le/aarch64, incl. Tegra/L4T) instead of a simple existence check.
* `debian/rules`: new post-fetch repack step (`mk-origtargz`) stripping
`__pycache__` per the new copyright exclusions; new
`override_dh_strip_nondeterminism` excluding the Nsight Copilot wheel from
re-stamping.
* SOURCE: large refresh (241 added / 188 removed) — new NVIDIA Sphinx docs
theme replacing the old RTD theme; new "Nsight Copilot" feature
(`extras/python/`, `Plugins/CoPilotPlugin/`); boost 1.78.0→1.86.0; Qt plugin
reshuffle (`libqwayland.so` added, egl/generic variants removed;
`QdstrmImporter`→`libQdstrmImport.so`); pip 25.0.1→26.0.1 vendoring refresh;
new CollectX/GpuMetrics/CpuProfiling config files and a new `plugins/dcgm/`
tree; new `.section` files for gr10x UTCMMA (detail in the attached per-package
file).
## nsight-systems-13-4
* Binary package renamed to track upstream version
(`nsight-systems-2026.1.3`→`nsight-systems-2026.3.2`).
* copyright: added `Files-Excluded-{amd64,arm64}: */__pycache__/*`; dropped
`Files:` for `typing_extensions.py`; pip metadata path updated to
`pip-26.0.1.dist-info`.
* arm64 `.install` no longer ships `libnvperf_grfx_host.tegra.so` as an
override file; `d/rules`/`d/source/include-binaries` correspondingly drop the
special-case rename dance for it.
* lintian-overrides: dropped the generic `/usr/local` exception and some
now-unneeded overrides (`shared-library-lacks-stack-section`,
`library-not-linked-against-libc`); added overrides for the new
pip-26.0.1/vendor license layout and non-executable arm64 recipe scripts.
* `d/rules`: same `mk-origtargz` `__pycache__`-stripping repack step added as
nsight-compute.
* `debian/overridden_files/nsys`/`nsys-ui`: version strings bumped;
`.desktop` renamed to `nsys-ui-2026.3.2.desktop`.

## libcuobjclient-13-4
* lintian-overrides: removed the arm64 `unstripped-binary-or-object`
override; generalized the `binary-has-unneeded-section` override path to cover
both archs/any version; dropped the dev package's
`package-contains-no-arch-dependent-files` override.
* SOURCE: `libcuobjclient-dev` gains a new header `cuobjextrc_types.h`.
## libcudla-13-4
* `debian/source/lintian-overrides`: added a new override for
`debian-watch-does-not-check-openpgp-signature` (watch is a stub; upstream
untrackable).
* `libcudla-dev` `.links`: dropped the `lib -> lib64` symlink line (kept only
`include`).
* SOURCE: runtime pkgconfig rename only; dev pkgconfig renamed and the `lib64
-> targets/sbsa-linux/lib` symlink removed (matches the `.links` change); no
new/removed headers or libraries.
## libcufile-13-4
* `.alternatives`: priority bumped `133`→`134` (matching the new
`/usr/local/cuda-13.4` path).
* SOURCE: `libcufile-dev` gains a new man page `CUfileIOVec.3`.

`hardening-no-pie`/`hardening-no-bindnow` overrides, replaced with narrower
arm64-specific overrides scoped to `cicc` and `libnvvm.so.*`.
## libcublas-13-4
* lintian-overrides: added a new override `libcublas-13-4:
exit-in-shared-library`.
## libcusolver-13-4
* lintian-overrides: added new overrides for prebuilt library stripping
(`unstripped-binary-or-object`) and stub-library `missing-dependency-on-libc`;
