System: Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 (Kernel 2.6.24-4-generic) on Thinkpad T60, ATI Mobility Radeon X1400, ATI's fglrx v8.01, Compiz via AIGLX (xserver-xgl package NOT installed)
Suspend/resume works with Compiz! It takes about 15sec to suspend. Compiz runs smoothly.
