Re-install fixed crashes in Firefox, oddness in windows, etc. Still sometimes have odd delays, but I don't think this bug report will contribute anything that issue.
The only thing re-installation didn't fix was the running program icon issue for Dragon NaturallySpeaking running with wine. The error message I got when trying to load Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.0 with WINE was: Window Manager Warning: Invalid WM_TRANSIENT_FOR window 0x2e00003 specified for 0x2e00005 (DragonBar) However, I did load Skype's linux version, and the running-program icon works for that. The problem may be with WINE.
