I appear to be hitting a related Thunderbolt/CLx regression with a Dell WD19TB.
Setup: - Ubuntu upgraded from 24.04 LTS to 26.04 LTS - Dock: Dell WD19TB (Titan Ridge) - Linux 6.8: dock works normally - Linux 7.0 generic: WD19TB appears in bolt but status is `disconnected` - linux-oem-7.0: same problem; the OEM kernel does not fix it The dock starts working on the 7.0 kernel when booting with: `thunderbolt.clx=0` Without those parameters the Thunderbolt link does not come up correctly and bolt reports the WD19TB as disconnected. Since linux-oem-7.0 already contains the Titan Ridge CLx quirk from LP #2160699, this may indicate that the existing firmware-version-based CLx quirk does not cover all affected WD19TB/Titan Ridge configurations. Kernel 6.8 working on exactly the same machine/dock/cable strongly suggests a kernel regression rather than a bolt authorization or hardware problem. I am happy to provide dmesg, boltctl output, Thunderbolt NVM versions, lspci topology, and test individual kernel parameters if useful. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2160699 Title: Thunderbolt: pre-backport v7.2-rc1 refactor to oem-7.0 to avoid future conflicts To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2160699/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
