The 2026d and 2026c release contains the following changes: * Canada’s Northwest Territories moved to permanent -06 on 2026-08-21 and will not fall back from -06 to -07 on 2026-11-01 * Manitoba moves to permanent -05 on 2026-10-31 and will not fall back from -05 to -06 on 2026-11-01 [ Test Plan ] Test cases were added to the autopkgtest to cover the testing: * python: test_2026d and test_2026e * python-icu: test_2026d and test_2026e So the test plan is to check that the autopkgtest succeeds. [ Other Info ] * The autopkgtest for chrony is flaky on jammy and noble (see bug #2002910). * test_create_ical from python-caldav is flaky on resolute (see bug #2052629). * The ESM updates for focal and older need the ESM update for python-tz to build (see bug #207604) * The ESM updates for trusty, xenial, bionic, and focal will be prepared in https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-dev/ubuntu/+source/tzdata/+git/tzdata After releasing tzdata, please copy the package from -updates to -security.
