The code builds self._foreign_packages_pre_rewrite and self._foreign_packages_post_rewrite and in _warn_about_foreign_packages the remaining set gets reported.
I saw no filtering for known "not really third party" but I did not go very deep on that because whoever works on it in depth needs to build their own mental map anyway.
