For over a year, the CUDA samples (nbody) frequently need the source and sink providers switched before they will run. I use environment variables: __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia before the sample execution and they then will run. Disabling the laptop screen also fixes the switch, since there is only one provider.
