Lubuntu stonking (26.10) has done this awhile on this box now, I suspect
it maybe a hardware quirk?? related to the graphics card in this box
maybe; but I don't know, so documenting here

insert thumb-drive with Lubuntu stonking; boot & I expect to get to
TRY/install dialog where I can select which I want to do...
-- actual result
i get blueish wallpapers on both monitors on this box; and it just sits
there... for what feels like forever (have only waited an ~hour, though
<10 mins wait on this box with current daily/ISO)
The TRY/INSTALL dialog is NOT appearing
-- workaround
A simple Alt + TAB will make it show (or alternate between two
background-blueish screens & the try-install dialog..)
Maybe release notes should mention if your box sits on blue backgrounds
awhile, try hitting ALT+TAB to view the try/install dialog; we have
experienced some hardware that requires this.
NOTE: I've made assumption it's box specific; graphics card, or maybe
just monitors connected; as I don't believe I experience this on all
boxes. Experiencing it here today on dc7700 or old hp compaq thing.
