We have certified more than 10 platforms with mt7925(14c3:7925) on
24.04, and currently one with 26.04, no simliar issues were reported.
From the log the two-minute delay is almost certainly not the MT7925
taking two minutes to associate. It is:
1. The first WPA handshake fails after about 3 seconds.
2. NetworkManager incorrectly interprets that failure as a bad password.
3. NetworkManager waits roughly 120 seconds for a secret agent/password
response.
4. That request expires.
5. NetworkManager retries with the unchanged stored password and connects
immediately.
Evidence from the supplied log:
- 09:00:16.4776: enters 4way_handshake
- 09:00:19.7147: reported as psk mismatch
- 09:02:23.1390: secret-agent request times out, about 123 seconds later
- 09:02:26.3871: retry enters 4way_handshake
- 09:02:26.4746: handshake completes in about 88 ms
- 09:02:29: DHCP and activation complete
Please help confirm if the approximately two-minute interval is only
NetworkManager's secret-agent timeout.
