  On Raspberry Pi 5 hardware, the Raspberry Pi bootloader/EEPROM firmware
  dynamically prepends hardware-tuning parameters to /proc/cmdline at boot
  time, including numa=fake=8 and numa_policy=interleave.
  
  While Raspberry Pi OS's vendor kernel carries a downstream patch adding
  fake NUMA support to ARM64 for the BCM2712, Ubuntu's linux-raspi kernel
  does not recognise numa=fake=8 on ARM64. Consequently, every boot on a
  Raspberry Pi 5 emits an early boot error:

  Expected behavior:
  
  (Preferred): The Ubuntu linux-raspi kernel cherry-picks the Raspberry Pi 
Foundation's fake NUMA patch for BCM2712 so memory interleaving works as 
intended on Pi 5.
  (Alternative): The numa=fake=X option is handled/ignored cleanly without 
logging an error on official certified hardware.
