Public bug reported: Binary package hint: displayconfig-gtk
I have not any data in the displayconfig-gtk window. I did update from Gutsy to Hardy so perhaps some old Gutsy settings are still in the wrong place?? (My screens do work. Normally in a docking station or connected to an external screen where my laptop screen is black. And if I run xrandr I can use the dual screen setup.) [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo displayconfig-gtk [sudo] password for me: *** Error: couldn't find any ServerLayout sections then the screen comes up but without any data and I hit the [test] button: on_button_test_config_clicked() Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/displayconfiggtk/DisplayConfig.py", line 1039, in on_button_test_config_clicked (res, msg) = testX(self.xsetup,"/usr/share/displayconfig-gtk/servertestdialog-gtk") File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/displayconfiggtk/displayconfigcommon.py", line 50, in testX xsetup.writeXorgConfig(config_filename) File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/displayconfigabstraction.py", line 695, in writeXorgConfig self._syncXorgConfig() File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/displayconfigabstraction.py", line 657, in _syncXorgConfig server_layout = self.xorg_config.getSections("ServerLayout")[0] IndexError: list index out of range and then I click on [ok] and I get the following error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/displayconfiggtk/DisplayConfig.py", line 1034, in on_button_apply_clicked self.apply_changes() File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/displayconfiggtk/DisplayConfig.py", line 1061, in apply_changes ischanged = self.xsetup.isXorgConfigChanged() File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/displayconfigabstraction.py", line 898, in isXorgConfigChanged changed = self.original_layout!=self.layout or \ AttributeError: 'XSetup' object has no attribute 'original_layout' ** Affects: displayconfig-gtk (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- No data in displayconfig-gtk https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/185327 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
