It is server-cloud-minimal and the header says "Packages needed for the system
to operate".
It can operate fine without curl and people that need it can install it or
The things in there are all to get booted up (all the installer and
bootloaders need like s390x-tools), things to get root for
administration (sudo), to get network (netplan), to report bugs (apport)
or the ability to install more (apt, snap).
Curl is neither of that, unless the argument is that this is to install
more but I feel this is a weak argument. And getting it later is fast as
it is a small package. We have also in the past looked at arguments like
"but I have no network to get it" but in this case it means curl won't
be too useful either.
Again, this is "server-cloud-minimal" not "server" seed. Let us at least
discuss it if my reading is way off others expectations.
I'll bring this to the discussion that was had while I have been out,
and someone will bring back the result here. For now let us fix resolute
...
