Nominated for release requires someone to follow the procedure at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates to nominate the bug to be fixed in a gutsy-updates package. I'm not familiar with the process, but this doesn't look like it would qualify (it's not a security vulnerability, it's not a regression from Feisty, it doesn't lose user data, and the program actually starts). However, that decision would be up to the MOTU SRU Team after nomination.
