Public bug reported:
I have a Lenovo P16 gen 4, and I am getting a random freeze of the
entire desktop (looks to be X11 freezing since all of my applications
lock up and stop taking input, not just the shell).
Occasionally it seems like the shell is locking up and not all of X11,
when X11 locks up I need to switch to another tty and restart sddm (if
on KDE).
Tried with both vanilla ubuntu with gnome 24.04 as well as KDE plasma
24.04.
What ended up resolving the issue was setting the following in grub:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash amdgpu.tmz=0
amdgpu.sg_display=0 amdgpu.dcdebugmask=0x10 iommu=soft"
So far I've not been able to reproduce under Wayland
