I have been waiting for months for a fix. I manually update my Ubuntu 26
system several times a day because I keep hoping the issue will be
fixed. I really dislike seeing this problem repeatedly.

The issue does not happen with all applications. I mainly see it when opening
Zed editor (Flatpak), google-chrome, and Opera (Flatpak). Even after closing
the apps, the spinner keeps spinning for around 5 seconds before it become
normal cursor. However, the same issue was resolved for my Double Commander
application. Another interesting point is that I do not see the issue when
starting these applications from the terminal.
So my impression is that whether this bug appears or not may depend on the
specific application being launched or the way they are being launched. @Don: I
use a "dash to panel" in ubuntu
(https://github.com/home-sweet-gnome/dash-to-panel/releases/tag/v73). What
about you?

Since this issue is still persisting and not re-occurring, I would
kindly request that the discussion and resolution continue here. @Don:
If that is not possible, please remember to quote or link the new issue
here? Thank you.
