I am seeing what appears to be a similar/related issue on Ubuntu 26.04 LTS with an Intel AX201 adapter.

After the failure, lspci still shows the device and the iwlwifi/iwlmvm/mac80211/cfg80211 modules are loaded, but no wireless interface exists: - `iw dev` shows no wireless interfaces - `nmcli device status` shows only ethernet and loopback - `rfkill list all` shows Bluetooth only, no Wi-Fi device Relevant dmesg excerpts: iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: Microcode SW error detected.
