Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
The csv file is an address book exported from Outlook Express. The import process into calc works perfectly, but after a few seconds, it crashes and immediately recovers the file. The crash-recover sequence appears to be endless. If, however, I start OpenOffice writer first, I can import the file into calc, edit it and save it with complete success. In fact, once OpenOffice writer has been run, calc no longer crashes! This is with Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon, which is kept up to date at all times. The cpu is Pentium 4 1.7GHz 512M ram on an Aopen motherboard ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- OpenOffice crashes when importing csv file into calc https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/184887 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
