Issue:
After upgrading from kernel 6.17.0-1020-oem to 6.17.0-1023-oem, the
system started experiencing severe stability issues.
Behaviour with 6.17.0-1020-oem:
* Suspend/resume works correctly.
* Shutdown works correctly.
* Reboot works correctly.
Behaviour with 6.17.0-1023-oem:
* Resume from suspend results in a black screen.
* System becomes unresponsive after suspend.
* Shutdown frequently freezes.
* Reboot frequently freezes.
* Forced power-off is often required.
Kernel messages observed:
BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference
i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] *ERROR* [CRTC:88:pipe A] DSB 0 poll error
Additional information:
The issue is fully reproducible with 6.17.0-1023-oem and disappears when
booting the previous kernel 6.17.0-1020-oem.
This appears to be a regression between the OEM kernels 6.17.0-1020-oem
and 6.17.0-1023-oem.
