Public bug reported:
Hello,
I installed Ubuntu Studio 26.04 on my laptop (Dell Vostro 5501).
Then I attached an external screen (Asus Pro Art PA329CRV) to the HDMI port of
this laptop,
and selected the display configuration "Mirror screens".
Up to this point, it all worked fine, and the laptop display was visible on
both screens.
Then I shut down the laptop completely, and a few hours later, I booted it
again,
with the external screen still attached.
During boot, the Ubuntu Studio Logo stopped rotating, and nothing happened for
about 3 minutes ("freeze").
After that, Ubuntu Studio finished the boot process, and everything worked as
expected.
Later, I booted the laptop again, WITHOUT the external screen attached,
and it booted very quickly, without any "freeze".
If you have any idea why an external screen causes the boot process to freeze,
or you need more information,
please contact me.
Best regards,
Manfred Bittersam
