Quick update regarding the LUKS/Plymouth password screen issue – you can safely ignore it!
The unresponsiveness at the LUKS screen was a self-inflicted wound. I was experimenting with forcing different keyboard layouts (US/CZ) via terminal to type a specific special character, and I accidentally baked a broken keymap into the initramfs for kernel 7.0.0-22. I did a clean reinstall of the kernel packages and a fresh update- initramfs -c, which completely resolved the issue. Plymouth and LUKS are working perfectly fine now. So the only actual bug to investigate is the i915 Wayland/GTK hard lockup described earlier.
