Clint, Not an omen at all; I had just never heard of an actual use case for the broadcast mode, and intermittently considered removing it as obsolete.
Do you happen to have a link to the recommendation from Proxmox? My searching around doesn't seem to find discussion of broadcast mode, but, instead, recommendations for LACP and active-backup[0].
