Public bug reported:
The internal digital microphone array on a Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 7
(DMI product name `21T0CTO1WW`) does not capture any audio under Ubuntu
24.04.4 with kernel 6.17.0-22-generic. The PCM device enumerates, opens,
and streams without errors — but every captured sample is a single fixed
DC value, so applications see "silence." This appears to be a missing
board-specific quirk in the AMD ACP6.3 (Pink Sardine) machine driver:
`sound/soc/amd/ps/ps-mach.c` has no DMI quirk table, and grepping
mainline (`torvalds/linux` master) for `21T0` returns zero matches
across `sound/soc/amd/{ps,acp,yc}/` and `sound/soc/sof/amd/`.
The same hardware family (ThinkPad E14 Gen 6, ACP6.0/6.1) had analogous
mic problems fixed by adding DMI entries to
`sound/soc/amd/yc/acp6x-mach.c`'s `yc_acp_quirk_table` — that mechanism
does not appear to exist for the newer `ps` driver, and `21T0` is not
registered anywhere.
