I can still reproduce this issue on linux-image-7.0.0-14-generic with a
Shokz OpenComm2 headset.
Summary:
- Ubuntu 26.04 LTS (resolute)
- Kernel: 7.0.0-14-generic
- Hardware: Lenovo ThinkBook X G2 IAH / model 21TU
- Bluetooth controller: Intel USB Bluetooth, lsusb ID 8087:0037
- Headset: OpenComm2 by Shokz_II, Bluetooth MAC A0:0C:E2:6E:34:5D
- BlueZ: 5.85-4
- linux-firmware: 20260319.git217ca6e4.1ubuntu
- PipeWire: 1.6.2-1ubuntu1
- WirePlumber: 0.5.13-1ubuntu1
Observed behavior:
The headset connects, becomes visible as an AVRCP input device, then the
Bluetooth audio transport fails within a few seconds. After that bluetoothctl
shows the device as paired/bonded/trusted but not connected.

This attempt connected at 14:41:35 and failed at 14:41:43, so the audio

The current failing boot is definitely 7.0.0-14-generic:
Linux book 7.0.0-14-generic #14-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Mon Apr 13

I have saved the raw outputs logs and can attach them if useful.
