I tried to use Linux 6.17 with a workaround proposed by Daniel Letzeisen
(dtl131) above. Unfortunately the workaround doesn't work.
As a side note I also had a problem with incredible small fonts on a
3072x1920 ("retina") display this laptop has. I don't think this
reproduced with 6.17 before. Probably this can be addressed in Gnome
settings. I just wanted to share this for the sake of completeness.
