The archive (resolute-proposed) is not in an easy situation right now, with complex and entangled transitions happening. While I appreciate you did a test rebuild in a PPA, it would not be wise to proceed with a bigger transition like this.
I understand that golang 1.26 is desirable, but we are late in the Resolute cycle, and this change was not planned: https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/resolute-raccoon-release-schedule/47198 only mentions golang 1.25 under "potentially disruptive archive-wide activities". I don't want to fully reject switching to 1.26 in resolute, but the feasibility of that depends on how soon the ocaml and python3-defaults transitions will complete. ** Changed in: golang-defaults (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2143295 Title: [FFE] Update golang-defaults to 1.26 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/golang-defaults/+bug/2143295/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
