I'm testing this on 24.04 right now and it's working correctly for me.
Are you referring to a specific application that's staying on the wrong
font scale?

Title:
Enabling "Large Text" via Accessibility settings works, but toggling
the setting "Off" (via either the Top Bar or Settings menu) fails to
revert the UI to the standard font scale.
