FYI: I updated apt-cacher-ng 4 days ago from v3.6 (3.6.4-1) to v3.7 (3.7.5-1), and within those 4 days I managed to get 80 hanging apt-gets again. This problem is still very real.
> way over 99% of updates work. That is for most people that don't have a broken repository (cache) in the mix. Those that do can easily go down to 90% success rate. (And don't forget, once it fails, it never succeeds again without manual intervention.) I'll applaud any fix that stops the infinite hang, even if it's a watchdog that kicks in first after 3600 seconds. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2003851 Title: occasional hanging 'apt-get update' from daily cronjob since Jammy 22.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/2003851/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
