** Description changed:

On Kubuntu 24.04 (Noble), the Logitech G733 wireless USB dongle is
disconnected by the kernel as soon as the headset is powered on when
running kernel 6.17.0-14-generic (HWE stack). After the disconnect, the
device cannot be recovered via software rescan; only physically
unplugging and replugging the dongle restores functionality.

This is a regression. The exact same hardware and system configuration
work reliably with kernel 6.14.0-37-generic. With 6.14, turning the
headset on or off does not cause any USB disconnects, and the device
  remains stable across reboots.

On the affected kernel (6.17), powering on the headset immediately
triggers a kernel log entry similar to:

usb X-Y.Z: USB disconnect, device number N

  After that event:

  The USB device disappears completely.

KDE/Plasma reports that the corresponding ALSA/PipeWire device no longer
  exists.

A USB rescan does not restore the device.

Only a physical unplug/replug resets the port and makes it work again.

  System context:

  Kubuntu 24.04 with linux-image-generic-hwe-24.04

  power-profiles-daemon enabled and active

  /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend = 2 (default)

Ubuntu Pro enabled (esm-apps/esm-infra), livepatch not active for this
  kernel

Given that the issue is strictly reproducible on 6.17 and does not occur
on 6.14, this appears to be a regression in the USB/xHCI or runtime
power management handling introduced between these kernel versions.
