I'm seeing this same bug on my Xen system (same versions of xen- hypervisor-3.1 and linux-image-2.6.22-14-xen). In my case, the system generally comes up, but domU's and/or the dom0 will crash sporadically with a kernel bug at the location described in the original report.
I'm seeing two other problems (possibly related). If I try to copy (scp) a large file onto my dom0, or any of the domU's, the resulting copy of the file is corrupt. And I'm getting ext3fs problems -- sometimes errors causing a filesystem to remount as read-only, and sometimes crashes during fsck while rebooting. This has become serious enough that I'm going to have to abandon my plans to bring up a production Xen cluster on this box until / unless the problem can be fixed. I reported this problem on the xen-users list, but no one there had any ideas. I found an earlier posting to xen-users (from November 2007), describing this same problem, with the subject "Crashing PV DomU, Can't find the reason". -- Crash at kernel initialization when booting Xen on AMD Athlon X2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156600 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
