I commented on the PRs for those SRUs - they don't do anything for this hardware. They are solely for Instinct MI-300 hardware.
If they were found to "help" you got lucky and this isn't a 100% failure rate issue. It's a bit of a stretch but if removing the bluez package or installing that "upgraded" firmware helped I suspect it's causing the initramfs to be a different size and perhaps that's impacting alignment of the kernel memory maps. How about instead trying to go back to a standard install (with linux- firmware from -updates, bluez installed, and nothing added to your kernel command line) and then try two kernels: 1) a kernel that reverts the commit Acelan identified above (21a0fc2c7458c7a28100b69f612df779c4efb20f). 2) A kernel without CONFIG_PREEMPT_RT set. If either of those can help it at least points at where the issue is. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2115860 Title: poweroff not working after upgrading linux-firmware To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/2115860/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
