The error message from DpkgTerminalLog.txt is not very helpful:

"""
Setting up pptpd (1.4.0-12build2) ...
Could not execute systemctl: at /usr/bin/deb-systemd-invoke line 142.
dpkg: error processing package pptpd (--configure):
installed pptpd package post-installation script subprocess returned error
exit status 1
"""

Can you please share what happens when you manually execute "systemctl
restart pptpd.service" and "journalctl -u pptpd.service"? This way we
might get to the actuall error message, which might be related to some
invalid configuration on your system..

** Summary changed:

- package pptpd 1.4.0-12build2 failed to install/upgrade: installed pptpd
package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1
+ package pptpd 1.4.0-12build2 failed to install/upgrade: Could not execute
systemctl: at /usr/bin/deb-systemd-invoke line 142

** Also affects: init-system-helpers (Ubuntu)
