"ERROR (dkms apport): binary package for evdi: 5.2.14 not found Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 6.8.0-63-generic (x86_64)"
This is not a bug in Ubuntu or the kernel. The error occurs because you are using an old version of the DisplayLink driver. You should remove it, and then you can use Ubuntu's evdi-dkms package, or you can get a newer version if you want the whole DisplayLink software package. https://www.synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads/ubuntu ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Summary changed: - package linux-headers-6.8.0-63-generic 6.8.0-63.66 + evdi 5.2.14 (3rd party module) fails to build with kernel 6.8.x -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2116816 Title: evdi 5.2.14 (3rd party module) fails to build with kernel 6.8.x To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2116816/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
