Aren't the SATA ports on JMicron controller supposed to handle external SATA drives? Why mix things up if the ICH8R has 6 SATA ports.. (on my ASUS P5B board). I have 2 DVD ROMs connected to the JMicron, the rest of my drives are connected to the ICH8R controller. I'll download the image today and see if it works correctly.
