Public bug reported:

This is a request to merge a fix from the upstream to improve a keyboard
support.

I am using Windows 11 Japanese and connect to Ubuntu 24.04 via RDP.
When I logged in, a backslash key in Japanese keyboard is not working.
Shift + the backslash key (This inputs '|' character) is also not working, so I
am very frustrated to use with RDP connection.

I found this issue was already reported to the upstream
(https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-remote-desktop/-/issues/234), and it was
fixed by the following commits.
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-remote-desktop/-/commit/c9b138c9d101562d7a8a93791dee4147c2973394

It would be very helpful if this fix is applied to Ubuntu 24.04.

PS -
I made a local build of the deb package of gnome-remote-desktop (based
46.3-0ubuntu1) with the fix, and confirmed the key becomes working.
