well, i got fglrx latest version (xorg-driver-fglrx from repository) installed and i also installed the xserver-xgl .. i used to get the setuid and getuid messages earlier .. but now, all i get is **Warning: GTK cannot open display :1" .. thats it.. Xorg. looks fine.. there seem to be no errors .. i disabled composite and aiglx .. i even modified gdm.conf, the GdmXserverTimeout parameter to 30 seconds, for Xgl's sake .. but alas, i cant login into gnome, with Xgl .... i had to remove it and then login .. the thing is compiz wont work in my system with just fglrx stuff.. Xgl is the solution.. any pointers?
