Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager
When running (before installing!) the Live-CD Hardy (Alpha 3, Xubuntu-Desktop, Intel x86) from the CD-drive, the Update Manager views a "forbidden" traffic-board in the upper-right corner of the desktop with tooltip: 'Error communicating with the backend. Please Report this as a bug' Never the less, the GUI seems to run without any problems and says that the system is up to date and the package list is 2 days old. Checked the Live-CD for integrity: no errors found. ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Hardy A3] Live-CD: Error Communicating backend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/182027 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
