Might be worth running qemu under gdb to see. It could also be in the UEFI stub 
I suppose. I left some comments in edk2:debian/rules to show how to do a DEBUG 
build, which should let you see where different objects are getting loaded:

I've uploaded 2025.02-5 to sid w/ support for the -fw_cfg flag to uninstall the 
mem attribute protocol in Secure Boot mode, if that's OK for your use case:
