Our OpenVPN Access Server is running on Ubuntu 24.04.2. When I upgraded the kernel last night from 6.8.0-1024-aws to 6.8.0-1025-aws, the OpenVPN software failed. Our configuration relies on ip6tables. I received this error:
Warning: Extension MARK revision 0 not supported, missing kernel module? ip6tables-restore v1.8.10 (nf_tables): unknown option "--set-xmark" Ended up downgrading back to 6.8.0-1024-aws which restored our VPN service. The same problem occurred in December 2024 when we were running the same server on Ubuntu 20.04 and had upgraded to kernel 5.15.0-1073-aws-x86_64-with-glibc2.29. At that time we resolved the issue by upgrading the OS to 24.04 and a 6.8.0 kernel. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2101914 Title: nt_tables reporting unknown option "--xor-mark" in 6.8.0-1025.27 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-aws/+bug/2101914/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
