I tested https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/plymouth/plymouth/-/merge_requests/344.patch on plucky with dracut on a Thinkpad X13 AMD with following result:
* First boot: I got only a text-based prompt and every key-press ended up in two "**". See 2025-03-27-13-55-31-417_text-based_prompt.jpg * Second boot: worked Then I tested dracut with drm removed from /usr/lib/dracut/modules.d/45plymouth/module-setup.sh (to exclude DRM drivers). Result: plymouth worked in the initrd, but crashes some time after the switchroot.
