We should just resync with the version from 24.10.
I've tested the following debdiff (which is just a rebuild of the
oracular package in noble) and it seems to fix the problem:
$ pull-lp-source virtme-ng oracular
$ cd virtme-ng-1.27
$ patch -p1 < ~/virtme-ng-noble.debdiff
$ dpkg-buildpackage -r fakeroot
$ cd ..
$ sudo dpkg -i virtme-ng_1.27-ubuntu1~24.10.1_all.deb
$ vng -r v6.12
