Public bug reported: Tested on virtual machine with Ubuntu 25.04 daily (prior to Beta release). The build of a package of mine stops due to deprecation of the function app_indicator_new, if the -Werror flag is set during the compilation (see a failed build log example here): https://code.launchpad.net/~igor-cali/+archive/ubuntu/junk/+build/30578054/+files/buildlog_ubuntu-plucky-amd64.openmoneybox_3.5.1.3~190~20250322~ubuntu25.04.1_BUILDING.txt.gz)
I did some research, I see that the successor should be the package libayatana-indicator-glib. I found an ITP in Debian (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1100170), but no package in Debian (trixie) or Ubuntu (plucky) at the time of reporting this bug. Workaround is building without the -Werror switch. Thanks.
