CPC is no longer interested in seeing these changes progress to the updates pocket. Debian maintainers at Microsoft have started maintaining waagent again, and we would like to start syncing that package from Debian instead of continuing to maintain walinuxagent. The work is on our roadmap for the coming cycle.
