Public bug reported: The python perf module, before part of the linux-tools-$(uname -r) package, is now in bin:linux-perf.
tuned could be changed to depend or recommend bin:linux-perf. But there is a bug still in linux-perf itself: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2103653 At least we should have a dep8 test in tuned that tries to import perf, to avoid this regressing again. Besides the dep change (to be tested), we also need to change (or remove) the patch we have that prints an error message with instructions to install linux-tools-$(uname -r) if perf cannot be imported. ** Affects: tuned (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: Andreas Hasenack (ahasenack) Status: Confirmed ** Tags: server-todo -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2103658 Title: python perf module moved to bin:linux-perf in plucky To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tuned/+bug/2103658/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
