> I subscribed them. It looks like there isn't much of a backports team left -- e.g. https://launchpad.net/lucid-backports still exists, but no https://launchpad.net/noble-backports or https://launchpad.net/jammy- backports
Martin, Circa 2023, the Backports process was **redesigned entirely**, and we made backport requests the same like SRU requests, so that they get filed against the specific packages themselves on Launchpad. The entire process is also heavily dependent on the *requestor* following the process for verifying building works, adjusting bugs in the Backports pocket when things need fixed, making sure autopkgtests and stuff succeed, and also testing the package. Additionally, the Backporters team now acts more like the SRU team does, *approving* Backports rather than "doing all the work". If it's been a while you should review https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBackports but I know we - the Backporters team - had to go a roundabout way to nag you about cockpit because of not requesting the initial approval, certain cases, etc. that we were annoyed about. But yes, cockpit is one of the few things we have the exception for. I'm not near my computer or my keys right now - I'm borrowing a Windows tablet from my job right now to reply to bugs, etc. - but if you get a sponsor to upload this then we can address the upload there from the queue. Failing that, I can sponsor you when I'm near my computer tomorrow. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2099668 Title: Please backport cockpit 333 into oracular/noble/jammy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cockpit/+bug/2099668/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
