I have a Dell XPS M1210 laptop with an nVidia Geforce Go 7400 GPU running the restricted drivers on Gutsy.
I have been running Gutsy for a couple months now, and have been experiencing freezes about every 2 hour during heavy usage. After significant experimentation with different applications turned on and off I can unequivocally say that the problem is compiz fusion. I have run all this week with no compiz fusion and no freezes. If I enabled compiz fusion I will freeze within 2 hours of use.
