Public bug reported:

Script-fu arrow creation script arrow.scm, randomly causes GIMP lockups.
Sometimes the lockup will force me to kill the process. Sometimes it
yields a message asking me if I want to force quit, which it will
accomplish if that message ever comes up, which is not all the time.
Sometimes GIMP crashes instantly, which is what happened this time, and
it gave me the option to copy the crash report and send it to you nice
people, which is what I'm doing right now.

GIMP seems perfectly happy in all regards except for arrow.scm, and this
sort of thing never happened before I went to a new install of Mint 22.1
Mate, after using a series of Mint Mates going back for over ten years.

I've replaced the video card, and this does not alter the behavior, and
it still crashes periodically.

The crash occurs after I have opened my chosen .xcf file, clicked path
points (sometimes two, sometimes more than that), clicked on Tools >
Arrow and have set the parameters (line width and arrowhead length) to
match the graphic I'm working, and then, at the moment I click "OK" the
crash occurs. Not always, but pretty often.
