Public bug reported: I would like to request a feature freeze exception for the feature "snap kernel components support" in Subiquity.
[ Rationale ] Support NVidia drivers with TPMFDE. [ Proposed Changes ] Kernel snaps/snapd now can offer components, first to support NVidia drivers, and with the hope of extending that to other drivers later. When the user indicates that they do want to search for and install drivers, and target system would otherwise be offered archive drivers by way of `ubuntu-drivers list --recommended`, we will install the pc- kernel nvidia driver components. [ Regression Potential ] The changes remaining to land at this point are almost entirely on the TPMFDE code path, so the non-TPMFDE regression potential is expected to be very low. I believe existing TPMFDE test plans will address the rest.
