I did some profiling using Subiquity's dry-run feature in two LXD environments. One with jammy (i.e., core22) and one with noble (i.e., core24).
In both environments, I did the following steps * navigate to the "guided storage configuration" screen * leave the default options checked i.e. * (x) Use an entire disk * [x] Set up this disk as an LVM group * [ ] Encrypt the LVM group with LUKS * ( ) Custom storage layout * position the cursor to the "custom storage layout" line * pressed the "UP" arrow key Results ------- jammy: * 27100 function calls (24489 primitive calls) in 0.011 seconds noble: * 1846977 function calls (1826012 primitive calls) in 0.365 seconds Attaching the profiling data -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2089681 Title: Partition manager navigation terribly slow To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/subiquity/+bug/2089681/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
